Program - 2015 Fall Member Forum. Unlocking Capacity: Optimizing Western Canada’s Transportation Network


Transportation industry leaders gathered in Winnipeg to discuss freight forecasts that impact Western Canada’s transportation network: potash, coal, agricultural products, energy products and containerized goods. Shippers and transportation providers then responded and outlined the challenges and opportunities of each commodity.


The Council seeks to provide members with opportunities to meet with leaders in some aspect of transportation. The Deputy Minister stated an interest to get out regularly to meet with stakeholders and maintain an open line of communications.

2009 Semi-Annual Meeting Highlights

The Semi-Annual Meeting held November 5 & 6 in Vancouver offered a variety of perspectives and information to help members as we move forward into 2010. The meeting was well attended, with more than 60 members participating. This has been a year of extremes and some of the upsets and changes are permanent, altering how we do things in Western Canada.

BC's Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)
