Information Overload: Connecting Industry & Academia

August 23, 2018 | Category: Member Forum

"Overloaded" and "overwhelmed" are top of mind descriptors when thinking about the applications of technology and transportation. The tech space is buzzing, full of ideas, insights, successes, failures, must do's and must have’s. We hope to provide a macro-level understanding of the implications and opportunities of technology with our discussion in the Fall.

In researching the Fall Forum, we came across the work of the University of Tennessee’s Global Supply Chain Institute – a place designed to connect business leaders, with academic thought leaders in shared interest areas. Check out the website and see how UT built a home to "engage with industry to fuel research, define courses and prepare students."

Are there better opportunities to do this kind of academic and business bridging and relationship building in Canada? Share your comments below or point us in the direction of a made in Canada success story!
