SRY Rail Link is a regional transporter of freight in British Columbia, safely providing the highest quality rail service at a competitive cost. SRY Rail Link is based in New Westminster, British Columbia and services Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley providing seamless and competitive freight transportation services to all markets. SRY Rail Links diverse customer base includes over 150 shippers of automobile, forest, building, agricultural, chemical, consumer and steel products. Combined with long-haul partners (CN, BNSF, CPR and UP) SRY Rail Link has connections to all rail served destinations in North America. In combination with sister company Seaspan Marine Corporation, SRY Rail Link offers direct rail barge services to major industries on Vancouver Island and BCs West coast. Additionally, the company provides transload and distribution services to clients in the automotive and forest sectors and full range of locomotive, car and track repair services to clients located across Western Canada. SRY Rail Link has a rich history originally incorporated on April 3, 1897 as the BC Electric Railway. The BCER was taken over by the provincial government in 1961 when BC Hydro was created. Hydro continued to operate the railway until 1988, when it was sold to Itel Rail Corporation. In 1994 the company was purchased by the Washington Corporation, owners of the 900 mile Montana Rail Link, headquartered in Missoula, MT.
