"As we develop the Jansen potash project and seek to become a large Western Canadian dry bulk shipper, WESTAC is an important organization for working with key outbound logistics stakeholders."

— Julian Ovens, Former Head of Strategy & Development

BHP is a world-leading resources company. Our corporate purpose is to bring people and resources together to build a better world. We do this through our strategy: to have the best capabilities, best commodities and best assets, to create long-term value and high returns. We are among the world’s top producers of major commodities, including iron ore, metallurgical coal and copper. We also have substantial interests in oil, gas and energy coal.

The Jansen Potash Project in Saskatchewan is BHP’s most advanced potash project. It is a world-class orebody and provides an attractive entry option into potash, a commodity that meets the demands of an evolving world.  Stage 1 of the Jansen Project remains on track for a final investment decision in the middle of the 2021 calendar year.
