— Paul Devries, General Manager

The BC Coast Pilots provides licensed marine pilots to foreign flagged ships transiting the BC coast to ensure the safety and protection of the ship, its crew and passengers, and the marine environment. BCCP is a member of the Canadian Marine Pilots Association and the International Marine Pilots Association.

The BC Coast Pilots are committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism and expertise in their duties and this is evidenced by the Companys remarkable 99.98% incident free record. The Company is continually exploring new ways to enhance the level of service provided to the marine industry and the level of safety on the coast through advanced training and the use of new technology. Although the size of ships have greatly increased over the years and with them the complexity of navigating through the narrow passages on the B.C. coast, the Pilots remain committed to ensuring that these transits are completed safely without any harm to the marine environment or the ships that pass through it.
