The 2017 Fall Member Forum is in keeping with WESTAC’s goal to provide education and inspiration by exposing members to world-leading experts on social, economic and political issues that support the strategic decisions they make for their organizations. This Forum provides an opportunity to think about longer-term global issues and is a counterpoint to the operational and local focus of the 2017 Spring Member Forum.

The session topics all have the potential to change how we think about the future of our organizations and how we execute business plans as executives, policy makers, labour leaders and citizens.

Four 'forces' selected include:

• China’s plans for One Belt One Road
• Changes transforming the shipping industry
• Future of work: automation, technology and social policy
• Business is Political – understanding the nonmarket environment

 

This format is similar to Fall Forum 2016 and will offer ample time for discussion with speakers and among members.
