INFORMATION OVERLOAD: Distilling technology for transportation
Nov 13, 2018 – Nov 14, 2018
The Sutton Place Hotel, Vancouver
A tidal wave of transformative technologies in transportation is washing over organizations everywhere. The pace of technological development with disruptive implications for the sector has never been so frenzied.
However, it is safe to say for all those but the most technologically savvy it is an overwhelming mix of new products, service models and trends which could transform digital and physical operations. This forum aims to break down the confusion surrounding these developments and help forward-thinking leaders understand the social, political and economic impacts of this fast-paced change.
The forum will envision the cities and transportation networks of the future and explore opportunities for Western Canada to weave innovation and technology into its natural competitive advantages as a gateway, a commodity corridor and a world-class transportation network. Members will have a path forward to anticipate how the disruption will affect strategies, plans and traditional ways of doing business.
It is an exciting time to be in transportation – an era of extraordinary progress. Leaders must be vigilant in educating themselves to stay ahead of the game and embrace the opportunities.
In advance of the forum, members will receive a pre-meeting supplement outlining emerging technological advances in digital and physical supply chains.
